COLOR CHANGE OR MATERIAL CHANGE?
Depending on the material that you are processing, we have different cleaning solutions.
In order to suggest the correct quantity and type of purging compound, it’s very important to know which material is processed, the dimension of the screw and of the die, the percentage of masterbatch/pigments and the conditions of the machine. These four factors can influence the quantity needed for a good cleaning.
HUGE EXTRUDER?
In some cases, on big machines the operators prefer to clean without a purging compound, as it seems too expensive to use big quantities of
purging compound in granules.
In case of color change, gels and black spots, there are two different fast and economic solutions available: the concentrate grades, to mix with the raw material, and the ULTRA PLAST LP, a liquid purging solution.
